ITeC is a skills organisation which has provided a variety of training programmes to local individuals and businesses since its establishment in 1982.

ITeC has a reputation for succeeding with young people and adults from diverse, and sometimes disadvantaged backgrounds by providing tailored training packages to suit individual needs.  This involves providing support at the level required by the individual.

We are committed to providing accessible training to local people, developing their skills and career prospects.  A comprehensive counselling and support service is also available.  As well as offering training towards achieving specific qualifications, ITeC aims to assist students in gaining sustainable employment or undertaking further training. This is achieved through job search advice and support and through the ITeC’s extensive links with local employers.

In the last year, 560 people have undertaken courses at ITeC; 60% of these were from a minority ethnic background. ITeC specialises in working with 14-19 year olds.
