London employers are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit suitable individuals to fill entry-level positions. ITeC can work with your organisation to access motivated candidates with the skills to succeed.

Working in partnership with employers
ITeC endeavours to provide a brokerage between employers and learners. Central to this is understanding employers’ needs and designing programmes to prepare individuals for employment. The focus of the ITeC’s work is to equip learners with the personal and work-related skills to meet the needs of employers. The ITeC has taken a number of innovative approaches to achieve this, including preparing individuals to undertake work experience placements and job trials. 

Future plans
In the coming year, the ITeC plans to build on its expertise of preparing individuals who face multiple barriers to employment and career development. The future focus of the ITeC’s work will emphasise

  • Enhanced employer links
  • Work with schools to develop vocational training provision
  • Work with the community to continue to offer services to a diverse client group
  • Employment skills targeted at the business and financial services sector
  • The use of e-learning and the intranet to enhance services 
  • Providing post-employment support to former learners to help them to develop their careers
  • Work with employers to develop the skills of their existing workforce
